In the last 7 days I launch my health coaching business, generated 53 leads at $1 each, & learned some pretty eye opening lessons along the way.
In this article I will share with you how I got my business off the ground in 7 Days, my wins, lessons, challenges, and what I am focusing on next.
My goal is every week to have this report to helps me consolidate my learning and help others that are building a business.
Wins
Here’s my wins and what I built in the last 7 days:
1.) Marketing Messaging & Sales Thesis - used competitor analysis, my personal values and strengths, and my vision for the product all combined into one.
2.) Product Outline - I have a very clear idea of my coaching program and how it’s going to be build.
3.) 10 Page Lead Magnet (The Health Reset Guide) - a full in depth guide to help my ICP (women over 35) in creating foundational health habits to help them lose weight & become the best version of themselves.
4.) Ad Copy - this was to promote the lead magnet to cold traffic. hardest part was making sure it was all compliant because running a health offer can be tricky.
5.) Video Masterclass - this goes with the lead magnet as a walkthrough. (Click here to check it out)
6.) Landing Page for Lead Magnet - this is for organic promotion so I can see the performance of organic traffic.
7.) Welcome Email & Daily Email System - this is to nurture the leads I have coming in from paid ads.
8.) Ad Creative - I made 3 types of creative; 2 mockups, 1 video, & 1 print out ad.
9.) Started Getting Leads - I launched the ads for the lead magnets and as I am writing this I am getting an average of $1.11 per lead insane and it hasn’t been 24 hours I have 53 leads.
Lessons:
1.) Building a coaching business is about authenticity, not tactics. People don't buy coaching—they buy you. Focus on building relationships first, sales second.
2.) For 10 years, I ignored this truth. Every time I had to start a business I had to start from zero. if I had an email list it would have made launching new businesses 10x easier. Plus an email list is the only asset you truly own. It's your insurance policy in business.
3.) I now understand market differentiation. I used to look at competitors, find pain points, and then go after problem aware people in the market. It worked but it didn’t help me stand out. Now I can see why in marketing there has to be a flare of you.
4.) When you're truly aligned with your work, the questioning stops. There's no mental baggage, no second-guessing if you're on the right path. You just build.
5.) Mistakes loved rushed decisions. I wanted to launch on Thursday but was overwhelmed and stressed so decided to push the launch to Friday. I’m glad I did it helped me slow down and finish up the last minute important things.
6.) My market differentiation isn’t weight loss or getting results, that’s the byproduct. My differentiation is going one step before the traditional weight loss methods and helping people learn the foundational health skills and habits to become healthy so weight loss is a byproduct.
Challenges:
To be honest no challenges this week.
I had one goal in mind which was to get these lead magnet ads live.
Now the real fun begins.
What Am I Focusing On Next?
There are two big things that I will focus on moving forward:
1.) How can I de-risk the business as much as possible?
2.) How do I turn those leads into customers?
Final Thoughts:
Every time you delay action, you’re robbing yourself of future opportunities.
